Scheme of individual ears for a children's hat with knitting needles. How to knit a hat for a girl using knitting needles - yarn, patterns and descriptions for beginners

First of all, they are necessary for our babies under one or two years old, who often like to take off their hats with their hands. For older children, ears are a salvation from cold winds, which tend to freeze the bare necks of babies. In this master class we will discuss in detail how to knit ears for a ready-made hat. They will be double, so the wind will definitely not be scary for them. You can also knit single ones - it’s even easier. And if you want to knit the ears together with the hat, then you can look at the tutorial, in which we discussed this issue in detail. Let's get started.

To work you will need:

  • Notebook with pen for calculations;
  • Circular knitting needles from 80cm;
  • Stocking needles for knitting cord;
  • Hook;
  • 5 detachable markers;
  • A needle with a thick eye and scissors.

Video master class on knitting double ears for a hat using knitting needles and i-cord:

Description of the process of knitting ears for a hat:

Since we are making the ears for a ready-made hat, we will need to do a little math.

The video tutorial contains information on the distribution of loops for a 2x2 elastic band, and in the article we will talk about the distribution of loops for a 1x1 elastic band.

So, we have an elastic band 1x1 = 96 loops knitted in our hat.

  1. Now we count 96/5 = 19.2 loops. While the number is not an integer, we will distribute the loops below. By the way, we always divide by 5 for all hats! It doesn’t matter if they are crocheted or knitted.
  2. We need 2/5 loops on the forehead, i.e. 19.2*2=38.4 loops, round up to 39 loops, because 38 is divided by 2 and the remainder is 1 loop for symmetry, let’s start with the purl one and finish with it.
  3. 1/5 for ears, i.e. 19 stitches each, again 18/2 and the remainder 1 loop for symmetry. Let's start with the front one and finish with it. In total, we spend 38p on the ears.
  4. The rest of the loops go to the back of the head, i.e. 96 (total) - 39 (forehead) - 38 (2 ears) = 19 loops.
  • Now we mark everything on the header with markers. If the hat has an additional pattern in addition to the elastic band, then you need to build on it first.

  • We crochet the loops for the double eyelet, picking up the half loops and grabbing the working thread. There are 19 loops on the hook.

  • Having cast on the loops on one side, we transfer the loops from the hook onto circular knitting needles.
  • Now we cast on the loops on the second side of the eye, also clinging to the half loops and pulling the working thread tighter.

  • We throw the loops onto the knitting needles. We cast on another 19 loops, for a total of 38. This row is cast on and is not counted among the rows.

  • For convenience, we fasten the tip of the thread immediately from the beginning of work and hide it inside the eyelet. We will knit according to the principle.
  • Now we knit in the round without decreasing for about 4-5 rows, i.e. It should be about 2-2.5 cm. The number of rows depends on the thickness of the yarn. We knit 5 rows.

  • Let's start making cuts. In order to get a beautiful neat edge of the eyelet at the beginning and at the end, you need to knit 1 knit stitch on both sides. We will make decreases in each row.
  • 6th row: 1L (front loop), 2 together L with a tilt to the left (to be neat, unfold 2 loops and knit behind the back wall),

12L, 2 together L with a tilt to the right (classic decrease), 1L.

  • We do the same on the inside of the ear. (=34p)
  • We do this until you have 4 or 5 loops left on your knitting needles.

If you have 5 loops left, then you need to knit the middle 3 loops together with the central loop, i.e. decrease 2 loops at the same time. If you don’t know how to do this, then watch the video on this topic below.

Video master class on how to knit 3 loops together with the central loop:

Description of the process of decreasing 2 knit stitches with a central loop:

  • We remove 2L loops as if we want to knit them.

  • Knit the third stitch.

  • We pick up 2 removed loops with the left knitting needle in the direction from left to right.

  • Now we throw them over the knitted loop. All is ready!

Now we make a transition row to start knitting the hollow i-cord.

We have 3 loops left on each knitting needle (6 loops in total).

Let's connect them. We take the working thread to work. And now we knit 2 stitches together with a knitting needle without any edge stitches, i.e. Using a knitting needle, we hook a loop from one knitting needle and a loop from the other and knit as usual. In total, you should have 3 loops left on your knitting needle.

Everything here is very simple and fast.

We don’t turn the work, we just constantly move the cord itself (3 loops) on the knitting needle. That is why it must be a double-edged or otherwise stocking needle.

  • You have the working thread at the end of the work, move the loops to the opposite end of the knitting needle.

  • And now we just start knitting the same 3 loops again. Finished again, moved along the knitting needle. Constantly monitor the thread tension; the loops should be as equal as possible.
  • We knitted 62 rows, not counting the connecting row. The length of the lace should be 20-25cm, maybe a little longer, but this length is enough to tie a bow later. When knitting the second cord, it is better to focus on the number of rows, and not on the length of the first cord.

We finish the lace by knitting 3 loops together with the central knit stitch, as we did above. Now we knit this loop again, cut the thread and pull it out, the loop will tighten. Take a hook or needle and hide the tip inside the cord.

To prevent your child from getting confused about where the back of his head is and where the front is, we advise you to sew buttons or decorate the front of the hat.

Video master class on knitting ears for a hat:

This is a variant of separately knitted single ears. Knitting begins with the hollow cord facing up and is sewn with open loops to the finished hat or used to begin knitting the main hat.

This is the third part of a master class on knitting a kit for a newborn (and up to 3 months). In previous parts, I showed how to knit rompers and a blouse for a baby. In this part I will show you how to knit a hat with ears with knitting needles to this kit. As a result, we get a beautiful knitted set that can be worn in early autumn and late spring.

Before knitting a baby hat with ears, you should take two measurements:

head circumference
and the distance from the eyebrows to the crown.

Head circumference is measured along the maximum circumference passing in front through the brow ridges and behind through the protruding part of the back of the head. The distance from the eyebrows to the top of the head shows what the depth of the cap should be.

Since we are knitting a set for a child from 0 to 3 months, the size of the items should be slightly larger.

Children's hat with ears and ties, knitting needles - diagram and step-by-step description:

On average, a three-month-old baby has a head circumference of 42 cm, and the depth of the hat is 14-16 cm. Taking into account the fact that the hat should fit snugly, but not tightly, to the baby’s head, you need to cast on 95 sts with green yarn on knitting needles No. 3, which corresponds to 41 cm. Next you should knit 8 rows with a 1×1 elastic band.

After this, switch to needles No. 4 and knit in a “stitch” pattern, always knitting the 2nd and penultimate stitches in the front rows and purling in the back rows. In the first row, the elastic field needs to be reduced so that the fabric does not become too wide.
1 chrome, 9 sts with a “column” pattern, starting from the faces. p, 3 p together, *15 p, 3 p together** × 5 times, 9 p, 1 chrome. In this case, 3 sts should be knitted together with a rearrangement of the central faces. p: Swap the 1st and 2nd stitches on the left needle, and then knit them together with the 3rd stitch.

Next, knit an even fabric 8.5 cm from the cast-on edge. After this you need to start rounding the cap. To do this, in every 4th row you should knit 3 stitches together (with rearrangement) according to the pattern:

Knitting pattern

The diagram shows only individuals. rows. In purl. In rows, all loops must be knitted according to the pattern. Repeat rapport 4 times.

Legend:

When the height of the fabric from the cast-on edge reaches 17 cm (after tightening, the depth of the cap will decrease), and 25 stitches remain on the knitting needle, pull the working thread through them with a long hook and tighten.

Knitting ears for a hat. To ensure that the hat reliably protects the child from the wind and does not slip on the face, it is recommended to add ears and ties to it. To do this, 95 sts of the cast-on edge of the product must be divided into 5 equal parts of 19 sts each: 2 frontal (19 + 19 = 38), 2 for ears (19 sts), 1 back (19 sts).
Since the back of the cap will be divided into 2 halves by a seam, its loops should be divided in half, and the remainder added to the frontal part.
19: 2 = 9 (remainder 1)
38 + 1 = 39
Thus, the loops will be distributed as follows:
right back part – 9 sts;
right ear – 19 p;
frontal part - 39 p;
left ear – 19 sts;
left back part – 9 p.
Along the typesetting edge, mark the boundaries of all parts with markers or pins. Then, using size 3 needles, pick up the stitches of both ears.

Knit 3 cm with a stitch pattern.

After this, decrease in every 2nd row from the right and left edges of each ear 7 times, 1 p.

When 5 stitches remain on the needle from the eyes, bind off all the loops.

At the ends of the ears, fasten ribbons or long pieces of yarn woven into a braid. Sew the edges of the cap using a vertical knitted seam. At the end, hook or use a needle with a large eye to hide the remaining ends of the yarn.

Even before the cold weather sets in, you should make sure that you have the warmest possible headwear available. This is exactly what a hat with knitted ears will look like. It will not only protect from wind, snow and frost, but will also make its owner stylish and fashionable.

Even before the cold weather sets in, you should make sure that you have the warmest possible headwear available.

A hat in soft pastel colors will be the perfect addition to a little girls' winter costume.. A warm, unusual headdress will be quite easy to knit even for novice needlewomen.

  • 100 g of red yarn;
  • 100 g white yarn;
  • knitting needles No. 3.75;
  • knitting needles number 4.

We knit according to the pattern:

  1. Cast on nine stitches on size 4 needles and knit in stockinette stitch, alternating stripes every couple of rows.
  2. In the first row, knit all the knit stitches, adding one stitch at the beginning and at the end of the row.
  3. On the next line, add a couple more stitches and purl it.
  4. The next step is to make everything knitted.

  17. Knit the next row, and purl the fourth row.
  18. Knit the fifth line according to the knit seven pattern, a pair together.
  19. Knit the next two lines in the same way as the third and fourth.
  20. On the eighth row, purl a couple of them together, then knit six separately, continue this pattern until the end.
  21. Work two rows again in regular stitch without decreasing.
  22. After that, stick to the pattern: knit five, pair together, thus finishing the row.
  23. Purl the next line without decreasing.
  24. After this, stick to the pattern of knit four and a pair together.
  25. Row again without decreasing.
  26. After this, knit three knit stitches and a couple knit stitches together.
  27. After this, purl a couple and a couple together, finishing the row in this way.
  28. The next line is a pair of knits and a pair together.
  29. Pull the thread through the loops that remain, pull them together and fasten securely.
  30. Take knitting needles No. 3.75, cast on fourteen stitches and knit them along the starting row of the back side, 37 along the eye, 36 along the starting row of the front, 37 along the other eye and 14 along the starting row of the back side, close the loops.
  31. Sew the back seam and thread the ends of the threads.
  32. Prepare pieces of thread about 60 cm long, thread them through the center of the eyelet and fold them in half.
  33. Take the threads by the ends and intertwine them to the base, tie a knot and trim the ends.

Using the same principle, tie the tie on the other ear.

Progress:

  1. Cast on only five stitches and knit to the end of the row.
  2. Without turning the workpiece over, move the stitches to the opposite end of the knitting needle.
  3. Insert the second knitting needle into the first stitch, pull it tight, pull the working thread from the end of the row and knit with a knit stitch.
  4. Start each subsequent circular line from the opposite end, while closing the loops into a tube.
  5. Continue knitting in this way until the ties are the desired length.

Pompom: instructions for beginners

A hat with a pompom is suitable for both a very small child and a teenager. This headdress looks funny and stylish.

A hat with a pompom is suitable for both a very young child and a teenager

The process of making the pompoms themselves is quite simple and comes down to just a few steps:

  1. Cut a couple of circles out of cardboard and make holes in the center of each of them.
  2. Place the circles together and wrap them with thread.
  3. When the entire surface of the circles is covered with threads, insert scissors between the circles and cut the thread along the edge.
  4. After this, carefully pass the thread between the circles, wrap it several times and secure it with a knot.
  5. Remove cardboard mugs.

Double hat with ears: how to knit

All beginners think that they cannot knit a double hat.. In fact, everything is incredibly simple. It is enough just to make the top and bottom separately, and then connect everything into a single whole.

All beginners think that they cannot knit a double hat.

Progress:

  1. Cast on seven stitches on the knitting needles and knit them in garter stitch, adding a couple of stitches on each side on each right side row.
  2. After the required number of loops have been cast on, the thread needs to be cut.
  3. In the process of making the second ear, it is necessary to perform similar actions.
  4. Cast on loops on the thread of the second eye and connect to the second eye.
  5. All together, continue knitting for another ten rows, and then start adding stitches on both sides.
  6. Cast on the required number of stitches for the frontal part and knit at least ten centimeters upwards.
  7. Divide the loops into seven wedges and remove a loop at the beginning of each of them.
  8. Tighten the finishing loops with thread.
  9. Make the outer part of the hat in the same way, only adding several loops.
  10. Sew both hats together using a crochet hook.

Attach a pompom you made yourself or bought on top.

Winter is approaching, and first of all we need to think about the children. A cute children's hat with cat ears will warm your child in the cold. There are a lot of hats for children in stores, but most of them are made of artificial materials. Our hat will be made of wool. And if there is enough wool for the same scarf or mittens, then you will have a whole ensemble. The hat size fits head size 46. For a child 2-3 years old. Can be worn under the hood; for more warmth we sew a fleece lining inside. We knit in two threads.

We will need:

  1. 100% wool yarn (220m 100g) – 2 skeins (enough for a hat and mittens or a scarf)
  2. knitting needles, number 3
  3. large needle
  4. button

Let's start work

Sample: 18 loops = 8 cm, which means 1 cm = 2.2 loops. The total number of loops is 103 p.

After taking the measurements it turned out:

Knitting hat ears

We cast on 9 loops. 1 row purl stitches. Then in each 2nd row we increase by one loop. We knit until there are 25 loops on the knitting needle. Cut the thread and set it aside. We knit the second eye in the same way, only we don’t break the thread, but cast on the back loops (17 loops), attach the first eye, and the next row is a purl row.

Cast on the loops of the supra-frontal part (31 loops), close the circle and then knit 34 rows in a circle without additives.

Next we begin to decrease. To do this, we divide the product into 6 parts. Mark the 7th loop. Next, mark every 17th loop. As a result, we will have a convenient arrangement of the line of wedges; ears will be sewn along one wedge.

We decrease it like this: the loop that is marked is the central one, and we decrease the loops located on both sides of it, knitting 2 together in every 3rd row. It turned out like this: we transfer the remaining 8 loops to the needle, tighten and fasten.

Knitting cat ears

Cast on 17 stitches, 1st row purl, 2nd row knit, 3rd row purl. Starting from the 4th row (front row), we decrease one loop on each side in every 3rd row until there are 7 loops left on the knitting needle. We tighten the remaining loops and fasten them. We knit 3 more ears. Sew over the edge, sew on. Sew on a bow and button.

Fleece lining

Cut a rectangle with sides 47 cm, height equal to height. We place our hat on the fabric and trace it.

We cut out and sew the side seams by machine or by hand. Sew the lining to the hat. In the future, when you wash the hat, dry it after washing by stretching it over a 2-liter jar so that it does not lose its shape.

The trends and fashion trends of the coming season allow you to put together an amazing zoo in your wardrobe. Animal hats and wolf hats are for adults. And for kids, the designers have prepared cute cats, dogs, bunnies and Mickey Mouse.

Fashionable hats with ears in the winter of 2019 will be popular both among very young audiences visiting nursery schools, and among teenage teenagers who strive to imitate older ladies in everything. They can be purchased ready-made, or you can experience the pangs of creativity and create a headdress from wool yarn, felt or insulated fleece with your own hands. A beautiful hat with ears can be quite simple. It is enough to knit two square blankets and sew them in such a way that ears are formed on the sides.

Easy to sew, even easier to knit or crochet. The ideas proposed in the photo will help you choose a suitable model and turn it into reality. For a standard knitted hat with ears for a girl, you will need 100 grams of wool yarn with a thread length of 250 m/100 grams. For an adult model, 50% more of the same yarn will be required. A children's hat with ears for a girl can be pink, dove, lilac, white or gray. For boys, it is recommended to choose rich blue, green, brown and chocolate shades. With the right choice of color, a children's hat with ears will go perfectly with other types of baby's outerwear. Responsibility for this lies entirely with the parents. So be careful and try to dress your children beautifully, stylishly and fashionably.

Knitting hats with Mickey Mouse ears are suitable for both boys and girls.

Hats with ears for babies can be bright and quite strict, but in any case soft and pleasant to the touch

Cozy and warm: children's knitted hats with ears (with photo)

Any knitted hat with ears can be both an accessory and a warm headdress. It all depends on the manufacturing technique. If you take a thin hook and “Iris” threads, you will get a wonderful summer panama hat that partially protects from the sun’s rays and nothing more. Therefore, please note that a children's knitted hat with ears must correspond to the season and climatic conditions, primarily depending on the type of yarn chosen. For spring, we can recommend cotton. For the summer, you can knit openwork patterns from silk and acrylic. But for autumn and winter, you need to choose either natural wool or angora with a small percentage of added synthetic fiber, which allows the finished product to better keep its shape.

Look at the photos of children's hats with ears - all the ideas are quite simple and can easily be brought to reality with the help of an experienced craftswoman:

THE BASIC KNITTING PATTERN FOR A SIMPLE HEADSWEAR OF THIS TYPE CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

  • measure the circumference of your head, placing the measuring tape in the same way as the hat will “fit” in the future;
  • cast on 10 loops on the knitting needles and knit several rows;
  • measure the resulting sample, divide the resulting head circumference by this number of centimeters, and multiply by 10 - this will be the required number of loops for knitting a hat with ears;
  • cast on the knitting needles with fishing line this number of loops;
  • knit 7 cm with an elastic band alternating 2 knit and 2 purl loops;
  • then knit with a simple stockinette stitch or a pattern you like to the height required;
  • complete the knitting by casting off all the loops;
  • sew the hat at the back with a hidden seam;
  • sew the poles together, forming the ears.

Using this pattern, you can knit both a children's and an adult's hat with ears of different types. Next, all that remains is to decorate the product with pompoms, tassels, embroidered or glued eyes and antennae.

Knitted women's hats with ears for teenage girls (with photo)

A fashionable women's hat with ears is in demand among modern youth. Animalistic moods dominate not only on the catwalks in the form of luxurious coats and prints on all types of clothing. A suitable hat with ears for a girl can be fur and leather, suede and felt, fleece and knitted. But the most important trend still remains handmade. Therefore, women's knitted hats with ears will be especially popular in 2019, especially since headwear manufacturers offer them for sale today in a huge variety of models and styles.

You can puzzle a teenager with needlework, buy a ball of thread of the color you like and knitting needles or a crochet hook for the girl. A few evenings of creativity developing fine motor skills and a beautiful headdress in an individual style will be ready. The general knitting pattern is described in detail in steps above on the page.

It is worth paying attention that hats with ears for teenagers must be consistent in a certain color palette. So, pink and blue colors are completely excluded. In teenage fashion, purer shades with deeper filling dominate. These are all shades of gray, white, black, brown. Yellow should be used with caution, because although it is in fashion in winter 2019, it does not suit everyone.

Look at the photo of knitted hats with ears in various colors - among them you will probably find those models and styles that can be taken into account when planning a seasonal wardrobe for a teenage girl:

Another current trend of the current fashion season is the large-scale use of decor using voluminous embroidery, applique and patches of various plastic and wooden parts. This can all be used when decorating the finished product.

Look at women's hats with ears in the photo of models for teenage girls - they allow you to choose a headdress for any urban look:

The hit of the season for girls is winter hats with cat ears

Style trends change. Children's fashion is not left out either. The hit of the upcoming winter 2019 season is animal prints and animal images wherever possible. Hats are no exception. A stylish winter hat with ears for a girl can be in the shape of a funny little animal and at the same time reliably protect against the cold and frosty wind.

The most popular animals among girls are bunnies, cats and bears. In second place are foxes, squirrels and Mickey Mouse.

A black hat with cat ears is more suitable for teenagers. It can be fur or knitted from fluffy yarn. There are also simple knitted beanie-style models (fitting the head) and decorated with sewn cat ears. You should also pay attention to the felt bowler hats with small rounded cat ears and an appliqué in the shape of a Cheshire cat’s smile.

Bright multi-colored (pink, blue, yellow, beige, light green) hats with cat ears are suitable for preschool girls or elementary school students. They will be happy to wear such hats if they are matched with voluminous scarves and soft fluffy mittens.

A warm winter hat with faux fur ears is a trend for the coming winter. High-quality internal filler in the form of thermal insulation material will serve as excellent protection for the head. These hats for children come in a wide variety. We recommend choosing hats for the winter that are securely fixed (at least this requirement is relevant for children under the age of 10 inclusive), and cover the back of the head and neck.

Fur hats with ears for the winter

Hats for the winter with ears can be different in their cut. If you take hats for very young children, then you should pay attention to long ears, which can be easily tied under the chin and thereby save the ears from the freezing wind and prickly snow. For older children, it is worth choosing thicker hats that fit securely on the head and do not move off at the slightest turn of the head. Loose-fitting hats can only be recommended for children over 10 years of age.

note that a fur hat with ears is not always the best choice for infants. An allergic reaction may occur to fur microparticles. Therefore, for children under the age of 3 years, it is better to choose hats with ears exclusively from quilted materials. There should be hypoallergenic insulation inside.

A wider selection of fur hats with ears for teenage girls. There are a huge number of models of animal hats presented here. Thanks to a well-chosen headdress, a girl can look like a real Amazon. As an additional detail to your everyday look, you should choose fur vests, which can be stylishly worn in combination with a wide leather belt with a massive decorative buckle.

Fur hats with ears can be made from fluffy arctic fox or smooth-haired mink. But it is much more humane to teach a child to respect nature from early childhood. Moreover, modern artificial furs are not much inferior in their consumer characteristics to natural ones.

Simple hats with pompom ears for children

In fact, any knitted, fleece or fur headdress can be turned into a stylish designer item in no time. Stylists suggest using various pom-poms to the maximum this season to decorate hats, accessories and outerwear. For children this is real chic.

Even the simplest hat with ears will help make a child’s image memorable and extraordinary, standing out from the crowd of children. A beautifully designed hat with pom-pom ears goes perfectly with down jackets, quilted overalls, ski jackets and sheepskin coats. In general, this is a universal item that should be in the wardrobe capsule of every modern child.

Look at the various hats with ears for children in the photo, where a lot of different models and styles are offered:

Models of hats with ears: scarf, snood, beanie and others

A variety of styles allows you to solve the functional problems of providing reliable protection for the child’s head and neck from frost and freezing wind. Models of hats with ears cope with these tasks better than other hats only if the style is chosen correctly. So, a stylish felt cap or baseball cap for a teenage girl will not solve the problem. It will be used solely for decorative purposes. But a beanie hat with ears for a girl will be an excellent headdress for late autumn and early winter. At least some kind of headdress. After all, for the most part, it is very difficult to force teenagers to wear a hat.

For younger schoolchildren, the ideal everyday option would be a snood hat with ears - it is fashionable, beautiful and very warm. Moreover, the choice of such snoods today is very large. A craftswoman mom can knit this model in a couple of evenings. And you need very little thread - 150 grams.

A practical hat and scarf with ears is suitable for both preschoolers and girls who adhere to a certain style in everyday street clothes. The scarf is suitable both for the look on the meringue of a fashionable parka and on the platform of a quilted jacket. For a sheepskin coat or fur coat, it is better to choose a different style of headdress, for example, a beanie.

Hats with ears of an owl and a bear, a bunny and a fox, Mickey Mouse and a cat

A hat with bunny ears, popular among toddlers, gradually becomes less relevant by the age of 3-4 years. At this time, the child is already beginning to be interested in the world of animation and he has completely different heroes, ideals and role models. There is no point in resisting this. It's just a process of developing your own taste.

A hat with Mickey ears, a funny and nimble mouse from the Walt Disney cartoon, comes onto the stage. There is a lot of choice here. Manufacturers offer hats with Mickey Mouse ears for every taste, color and budget. This could be a very simple fleece or knitted hat. A knitted model is suitable for the cool season. And for harsh winters, we can recommend a fur style.

The addiction to Mickey Mouse goes away by about 5 years of age. At this age, the child begins to imitate adults and gives preference to more strict and realistic forms in designs on clothes. A hat with fox ears with appropriate decor in the form of applique or embroidery would be appropriate. The realism of the image can be complemented by a matching scarf that imitates a fox's tail.

Closer to the age of 7-8 years, the child begins to give preference to slightly different directions. He becomes interested in new species of animals, and at the same time strives to be like his classmates. And this season certain looks will be in fashion. Therefore, with a high degree of probability we should expect that the child will ask to buy a hat with owl or bear ears, since this is a real trend of the season.

A hat with cat ears is a dream for middle school girls. Teenage girls in the winter of 2019 will unconditionally give preference to animalistic trends. This will apply to both makeup and the choice of prints for everyday clothes.
