To knit an oval correctly, you need to imagine how a circle is knitted. This is discussed in detail in this lesson.
The technique of knitting semicircles is based on the technique of knitting a circle with symmetrical wedges. Each semicircle must have its own center - an air loop of the chain; each semicircle consists of several wedges:
- for double crochets - 6 wedges for each semicircle
- for half double crochets - 4 wedges for each semicircle
- for single crochets - 3 wedges for each semicircle
